HIGHS
- A beautiful rural setting, with the Howgills and Wild Boar Fell on your doorstep
- The term ‘luxury B&B’ is more about touchy-feely extras like candles, smellies and fine bedding rather than TVs, DVDs, phones etc
- The Butler’s Pantry, stocked with fantastic food and drink is yours to raid, day or night
- Debbie and Richard are thoughtful, friendly hosts, and great chefs

LOWS
- Plug-in air fresheners are dotted around the house. But it’s the work of an instant to unplug them and enjoy the fresh Cumbrian air
- If you book the whole house, you don't get use of the kitchen - but that's no bad thing with such good chefs hosting you
- Dinners are currently only available at weekends, but the Butler’s Pantry and local pub plug any gaps
