We’ve teamed up with Babyccino Kids to whisk one lucky family off for a 2-night break at Appartement Blanc in Paris, a wonderfully quirky 2-bedroom bolthole in the Marais quartier – one of the coolest parts of town.

There is much to praise about this hip, comfortable retreat and those looking for a contemporary pad in a cool location will be very happy here. Light and airy Appartement Blanc is set back from the main street across a courtyard for maximum privacy and quietness. You get a sleek kitchenette, dining table for 4 and shutters to enable lie-ins! The child-friendly twin bedroom is enlivened with pops of colour and there’s also a baby cot available to borrow.

Marais itself is Parisian-perfection for families. Its small crooked streets and lanes are easy to stroll around, and peppered with boho cafés, art galleries and chic boutiques. You’re centrally placed for exploring the sights, too: galleries and museums are on your doorstep. It’s also one of the few parts of Paris where the shops and restaurants are open on Sundays – great news if you’re only here for a weekend.
Place des Vosges – perfect for the kids to run around
Kids will have a ball in the Place des Vosges, which has a sandpit and jungle gym. Take them to the Centre Georges Pompidou to ride on that very long, high escalator and see huge paintings and sculptures; outside they’ll find street performers and a pond with colourful mobiles. Take a boat trip down the Seine or ride in a horse and cart to see the City of Light at its best in the early evening before bedtime.
