Ca's Xorc
Soller, Mallorca
A chic Mallorquin finca hotel, hidden high in the Tramuntana mountains
Located between Deia and Soller on Mallorca's rugged north west
coast, this former olive mill has become a chic and discreetly
glamorous small hotel. The feel of style oozes from every corner -
perhaps passed on by the touch of its sparkling young staff. The
look is contemporary rustic, blending Mallorquin with a hint of
Moroccan.
You will lap up some sensational mountain views from the veranda,
while sipping your drink to the sound of rustling olive groves and
sheep bells tinkling in the wind. The food is delicious and the
dining areas imaginative - lots of hideaways and a Moroccan-style
tent for parties. This place is and has been good enough for
premier rock stars.
A perfect place to unwind and with 12 guestrooms a dream to hire
the whole house for a private party, photo-shoot or business
off-site.

Highs
- Cool interior designs - this is definitely one of the island's most stylish small hotels
- Its soothing feel (you are very well served)
- Stunning views from the pool and terraces
- The whole atmosphere elevates you beyond your station
Lows
- Occasional piped music (Lionel Ritchie may or may not still be warbling from the olive trees - lets hope not!)
- A car is essential to reach a beach, shops or outside nightlife (there's no bar for after-dinner drinks)
- The drive up - stretch limos won't get round those dusty hairpins
- It's German-owned so don't be surprised if you hear "guten morgen" instead of "buenos dias"
- It's always full, so book early
Heavenly 250-year-old olive mill lovingly restored as a hotel...
