Booking Policies
- Payment:
Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
Additional deposit of 40% is charged by Chateau de Lartigolle by credit card, bank transfer (into a French account), or sterling cheque 9 months prior to arrival.
A third payment of 50% (i.e. the balance) is due, by the same methods, one month before the stay. You will also need to pay a refundable damage deposit (normally 10-15% of the total) on arrival, either by sterling cheque or by credit card. Any catering, housekeeping and drinks costs are payable directly to the chateau at the end of the stay.

For all cancellations, the initial 10% deposit is non-refundable. In addition, for any cancellations 9-3 months prior to arrival: you will only be refunded 20% of the total (i.e. half the second payment) on the scheduled arrival date - or, if Lartigolle has managed to secure another booking for the same dates - the full second payment less a €200 admin charge. For any cancellations 3-1 months prior to arrival: if Lartigolle has managed to secure another booking for the same dates, you will be refunded the full second payment, less a €200 admin charge, on the scheduled arrival date. For any cancellations <1 month prior to arrival: if Lartigolle has managed to secure another booking for the same dates, you will be refunded the second and third payments, less 25% cancellation charges; otherwise your payments will be retained in full. In the event of premature departure, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. We and the owners recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances, as well as possible damage to the property / contents and repatriation in the event of an accident.
