Dalt Murada
Historic Quarter, Palma, Mallorca
Rooms
The Standard Double rooms will suit those on a budget;
they’re smaller than the other rooms and have an ensuite
shower room. Four of them have views of the cathedral, but you're
just as likely to get one that overlooks the narrow lane alongside
the hotel. Though these rooms are surprisingly light and
airy.
The Superior Doubles vary but all have pleasant views of
either the Almudaina street or the garden courtyard, some also have
small balconies. We saw room 201 which had a beautiful antique
four-poster bed, high ceilings and a Jacuzzi bathtub.
Those travelling with friend will be happy to hear that twin
rooms are available in both the Standard and Superior
categories - request when booking.
The 2 Suites are found on the second floor. Each has a
separate sitting room (with a sofabed, making them ideal for
families) and a small balcony overlooking the garden courtyard and
Palma's magnificent cathedral. The ensuites have a bathtub and a
hand-held shower, but if you want the added luxury of a Jacuzzi go
for Suite 202.
While you may feel like you have stepped back in time, mod
cons have not been forgotten - air-conditioning and a
well-stocked minibar will refresh in the heat of summer; satellite
TV, direct dial phones and internet connection will keep you in
touch with the outside world; and large Jacuzzi bathtubs (in some
of the rooms) with decent toiletries and cotton waffle bathrobes
allow you to relax and feel pampered.
Since our visit there have been some renovations at Dalt
Murada with various rooms being added and updated. We can’t
vouch for every room but recent feedback has been complimentary and
we were impressed with the standards set by Bestard de la Torre
family when we visited.
