Dean Street Townhouse
London, UK
An elegant Georgian townhouse with friendly country-house style, deep in the heart of Soho: a private club with none of the pomp
This 39-room hotel is immersed in a 24-hour Soho setting - and with
Chinatown down the road, Soho Square around the corner and Oxford
Street a 5-minute walk away, it doesn't get more central than this.
Built in the 1730s, the hotel is actually 2 adjacent buildings
which have enjoyed an interesting past as musical print works, then
the private drinking den of Freud and Bacon... even a male massage
parlour at one point!
The Soho House team have transformed the Grade-II listed buildings
into their 4th hotel project. And the carefully detailed rooms are
as individual as the guests. You can expect all mod cons, heaps of
goosedown pillows upon kingsize beds, sumptuous textures, and a
quiet night's sleep - which for central Soho is quite an
achievement. Downstairs the all-day dining room will tease you with
a vast menu that doesn't break the bank. The Bigger rooms are great
for couples on a weekend treat; the Tiny ones perfect for snazzy
1-nighters.

- The Sky+ TV controls are a little tricky, but the butler can advise
If I wanted to show someone a really successful hotel room, I would lead them here...
