It takes about 3 hours by car from Colombo airport and Galle Fort

Alternatively you can make your way on the slow but scenic train
from Colombo to Galle station for collection. If coming from Kandy
allow a long day's drive.
Sri Lankan Airlines also operates an air taxi service to Koggala
Lake near Galle, where staff can arrange a car to meet you.
Getting Around:
It's easy to walk between places within Galle, however tuk-tuks can
be hired for short trips and the hotel will arrange cars with
drivers for longer excursions.
