Day 1 - Fly to Guatemala City and transfer to the UNESCO-listed colonial capital Antigua. Stay at either Casa Encantada or Meson Panza Verde.
Day 2 - Spend a day exploring the architecture and history of Antigua.
Day 3 - Transfer to volcano-ringed Lake Atitlán. Stay at Villas Balam Ya or Villa Sumaya. Visit Solola market.
Day 4 - Take a scenic boat ride across the lake to Santiago de Atitlán and soak up the local colour.
Day 5 - Visit the incredible Chichicastenango market, before travelling to Guatemala City. Stay at Piedraluna.
Day 6 - Fly out.

Day 1 - Arrive in Guatemala City and transfer to Flores by plane.
Day 2 - Transfer to rural Sayaxché and take a boat trip down lovely Río Pasión to the famous Ceibal Mayan site. Stay at Chiminos Island Lodge.
Day 3 - Visit the little-known and intriguing Aguateca site in the morning, then transfer to Flores by boat and land. Stay at either La Lancha or Nitun Reserve.
Day 4 - Visit the charming Yaxha site (where Survivor 2005 was filmed).
Day 5 - Explore world-famous Tikal with its amazing Mayan ruins and vociferous wildlife.
Day 6 - Take a canopy tour in the Ixpanpajul National Park. Transfer to Flores airport and fly to Guatemala City. Stay at Piedraluna.
Day 7 - Fly out.

Day 11 - Go on a canopy tour in the Ixpanpajul National Park, and head off on a nature walk through the Cerro Cahui National Park.

Day 13 - Visit the Aguateca site in the morning, then transfer to Flores by boat and land. Stay at Piedraluna.
