Booking Policies

  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    For High Season bookings only, additional deposit of 25% of total is charged by Hostal Sa Rascassa in local currency within 7 days.
    Outstanding balance is to be paid directly to Hostal Sa Rascassa upon check-out by credit card or cash.

  • Cancellation Fees:
    In the event of all cancellations, the initial deposit is fully non-refundable. In addition, for Low Season bookings, cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to arrival and no-shows will incur a fee of 1 night's stay, which will be charged to your credit card by Hostal Sa Rascassa. For High Season bookings, cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival and no-shows will forfeit the second deposit.

Just what constitutes the accolade 'best hotel in the world' is up for grabs; in this case, it's the [i!#Eating!exceptional restaurant], and the location - on a pine-covered hill, 40m from a quiet unspoilt cove with clear water, and by coastal paths to superb nearby beaches. From your small and simply furnished room you can hear the waves lap on the shore. The real highlight, though, is the restaurant, laid out under trees bedecked with fairylights, and overseen by the super-friendly owner Oscar and his expert staff. The menu is fabulous, with pear and walnut tarts and lobster and chicken bake among the Catalan favourites; wines are similarly up to par. In the peak of summer the restaurant also runs a beach bar, open until the sun drops into the silvery sea.
