Booking Policies

  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    For stays from 1 June-31 October and over Easter an additional deposit of 50% of total is required by the hotel and this will be charged to your credit card by Hotel Aiguaclara in local currency 2 months prior to arrival.
    Outstanding balance is to be paid directly to Hotel Aiguaclara at time of stay by credit card.

  • Cancellation Fees:
    In the event of all cancellations, the initial deposit is fully non refundable. In addition, for bookings during the period 1 June-31 October and over Easter, any cancellations made 29-16 days prior to arrival will only have 50% of the second deposit refunded; 15-8 days, 25%, 7 days or less, no refund. For bookings during the rest of the year, cancellations made less than 72 hours prior to arrival will incur a forfeit of 1 night's stay, which will be charged to your credit card by Hotel Aiguaclara.

When Joan and Clara moved here from Barcelona with their family 10 years ago, they didn't employ legions of interior designers and stylists - they put their individual sense of style to work in creating something quite unique. From the mismatched colourful retro furniture in the bistro-style restaurant to the fairy lights and bright green hanging egg chair in the garden, this place has boho chic by the bucket load. Originally built by a merchant who returned to Begur from Cuba in the 19th century, history hasn't been papered over: bright tiles cover the hall floor, the ceilings are gloriously high, and the large doors on each level display prints of 19th-century Begur. This is a great base for exploring Catalonia. Just 5km away down a winding road bisecting pine-covered hills you'll find several beaches with bars and gin-clear water; pretty Girona is a 40-minute drive away, and some of the region's loveliest restaurants are an easy stroll from your front door.
