"J.K. Place is Florence's most stylish option, with just 20 rooms
and a friendly staff."
Travel + Leisure
"This 20-room townhouse hotel overlooking the precision Renaissance
façade of Santa Maria Novella offers attentive, personal
service in intimate, contemporary surroundings. And with a staff to
guest ratio of 1:2, it puts a premium on service. The guest rooms,
designed by Ferragamo hotel architect Michele Bonan, have an
updated Neoclassical vibe, featuring pleated white lampshades,
creamy marble fireplaces, and crispy ivory linens with cushions in
elegant gray. Breakfast (including homemade cakes) is served at a
communal table in the glass-covered courtyard... Don’t miss
sipping cocktails on the bijou rooftop terrace."
Lonely Planet
"Architect Michele Bonan... is the guiding hand behind this
super-chic option. Rooms welcome with warm colours (olive greens
and ochre-rose), more reminiscent of an English country home than
the fiery Mediterranean. The hotel is full of engaging touches such
as a glassed-over internal courtyard breakfast area and a roof
terrace."
Conde Nast Traveler (US)
"Since opening in 2003, J.K. Place has quickly become one of the
city's most sought-after hotels, especially by a young, hip
fashionable crowd. Occupying a tall, elegant town house... it has
the dimensions and atmosphere of a discreetly luxurious private
residence. Huge mirrors, drawings, and engravings hang on the
walls, and fine antiques rub shoulders with lacquered Oriental
pieces and '50s lamps. Flickering candles give everything a warm
glow... It's seriously stylish here but not stuffy, thanks largely
to the young staff, which strikes a perfect balance between
immaculate service and friendliness."
