- Dining: The villa comes with a fully-equipped kitchen and a housekeeper/cook, who will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner for you 6 days out of 7. There are plenty of restaurants within a short drive and you can arrange for a starter pack of groceries to be waiting for you on arrival
- Communal areas: The enormous, lofty living room has a CD player, an iPod dock, a hammock, a day bed and sofas. Outside is a sun terrace with fantastic views of the Pitons and steep gardens with palm trees, bamboo and cascades of tropical flowers
- Internet Access: WiFi is available - you'll need your own laptop or netbook
- Swimming Pool: The secluded 15x10ft swimming pool comes complete with sun loungers and cushions. Wrought iron fencing surrounds the pool and terrace, making them safe for children
- Spa Treatments: Massages are available on request
- Recreational: The villa shares a tennis court with Tamarind House next door and racquets are available to borrow. Other activites (including diving, fishing, kayaking and snorkelling) are available at the larger resorts nearby

When to go?
The villa is available all year round. High season, when the weather is slightly milder and drier, runs from December to mid April. Stay during the latter half of April or May and you'll still be ahead of the main rainy season but will also enjoy low season discounts. June to November brings downpours and the risk of hurricanes, though St Lucia can experience short, sharp showers at any time of year.
Author's tips
Bring a good book (or several) to make the most of the breezy daybed, from where you can see Soufriere Bay stretching out beneath you. And make sure you have plenty of mosquito repellent - there are no coils at La Bagatelle because of the fire risk.
