“We were upgraded to a garden suite which was excellent. However, we asked to hire the bicycles and were just told "no" and the evening meal was only average.”

Rooms to dark and need better lighting. also sheets a bit grubby.
Food was delicious - good choice on menu. Very helpful staff.”
Rosie, United Kingdom (28.04.11)“The place is really quite something. Fantastic location to trek (on mules if you wish) which the hotel is more than happy to organise for a nominal amount with a local guide. Quite remote so nothing local that i'm aware of but there are some village squares that you could stop at on the way etc”
maytham, Bahrain (27.04.11)“20 of us aged between 70 and 7 months spent five days at La Bergerie for a birthday celebration. The setting in the mountains is magnificent, and the staff unfailingly patient with the inevitable chaos caused by a large group. We all had garden rooms which were peaceful, spacious and ideal for sharing with kids. Meals were exellent and varied throughout, with the chef doing a special sitting for the kids which was much appreciated. Breakfasts were good with a choice of different warm pastries every morning, and fresh fig and apricot jams. When large groups came for lunch we ate in the shaded area by the pool so hardly saw them. Some of us did a couple of 4-6 hour treks with the excellent guide, Abdul, which incuded a wonderful tagine at his house. You can also walk to the Thursday market at Ouirgane near the new lake (no watersports yet), and there's a nice little new cafe/shop with a lovely owner you can walk to through the grounds for a coffee/lunch/change of scenery. Our only quibble was the huge quantity of chlorine (2 buckets!) chucked into the pool every morning - all the kids had rough patches of skin on their faces/faded t-shirts by the time they got back - not nice. Otherwise a beautiful place to relax away from the bustle of Marrakech and good value for money.”
Rachel, United Kingdom (05.06.10)“A charming location set in beautiful gardens and fringed by stunning views of the Atlas mountains. We were upgraded to one of the garden suites on the second night thanks to us having booked through i-escape. Accommodation was lovely and the owners and staff both charming. A peaceful, relaxing hideaway that set us up nicely for the clamour and intensity of Marrakech.”
