Lanson Place Hotel
Causeway Bay, Hong Kong
Restrained comfort and sleek service in perhaps the only quiet corner of Causeway Bay, Hong Kong's shopping bazaar
Escape the teeming pedestrian walkways and towering department
stores of Causeway Bay for understated comfort in discreet
surroundings. In stark - or should that be Starck - contrast to
some hotels in the area, Lanson Place is business-like, efficient
and decorous.
Behind the 26-storey, neoclassical exterior you'll find a
professional welcome and a stylish, city-hotel lobby/lounge.
Windows are vast, colours are tasteful, ceilings are lofty,
carpeting is retro and there's a grand piano. The breakfast room is
notable for its stylish banquettes (though not the most
comfortable!), the rooms are superbly equipped - glass
desks, sofas, even kitchenettes; and every imaginable business
travel need is met, from boardroom facilities and WiFi to task
lights and 24-hour launderette. But this is not exclusively a
business hotel; recent leisure travellers tell us that the
concierges (who also deal with sightseeing and travel arrangements)
are exceptionally warm and helpful.
