Otter Creek Tents
Northern Goa, India
Activities
- Head out to sea with local fishermen (staff can put you in
touch) to spot dolphins leaping in and out of the waves. You
might also spy them from the shore if you're lucky
- Amble along the white sand of the semi-private beach -
it's often almost deserted
- Lie back in your hammock, watch colourful birds flitting
in and out of the trees, and keep an eye out for otters in the
waters of the creek
- Ride the waves with a bodyboard which can be borrowed on
site
- Play volleyball at the staff’s net next to the
kitchen
- Have a go at haggling at the famous flea market (held on
Wednesdays) in Anjuna, south of Mandrem and past the villages of
Morjim and Siolim - a car and driver are available to take
you
- Just 4km further south of Anjuna is Arpora - its Saturday
night market should not be missed
- Head north to the pretty fishing village of Arambol,
once a low-key backpackers' hang out
- Spend a day in Old Goa, a 45-minute drive away. A World
Heritage site, the former Goan capital is famed for its churches
