It’s a basic yet idyllic retreat, filled with antiques and far removed from the hustle and bustle of Unawatuna, yet within easy reach of its golden sand and clear turquoise water. The main villa is ideal for a large family or group of friends on a budget (it sleeps 6-10). The Tao suite (which sleeps 2-4) is perfect for a couple or small family, while the double-bedded bungalows will suit independent travellers. Children of all ages are welcome and will love the animal life in the garden, with monkeys high in the trees, a pet tortoise and monitor lizards by the stream. Delicious meals can be provided by the staff and breakfast starts with fresh papaya, pineapple, avocado and banana salad, served with a twist of lime. Excellent yoga and meditation classes can also be arranged in the domed pavilion in the garden, along with massages and Ayurvedic therapies.
