Soukya
Near Bangalore, India
A healing oasis set in 30 acres of lush organic grounds on the edge of Bangalore, created by health guru Dr Issac Mathai
This is a serious health sanctuary, one of the best Ayurvedic and
holistic centres in Asia - its distinguished guest list includes
Prince Charles, Sting and Desmond Tutu. Soukya practices a fusion
of the best ancient medical traditions, with the focus on top-notch
Ayurveda, and all herbal concoctions and oils are grown in its
Ayurvedic garden.
Following your in-depth personal consultation on arrival, a
programme of
treatments
and therapy will be tailor-made to your unique constitution and
condition. A team of Ayurvedic practitioners will then rejuvenate
and revitalise every inch of your body, and nurture your mind and
soul during your stay. You're so well looked after that the only
thing you need to lift is your knife and fork, to eat the
delicious, nutritious low-fat vegetarian
food,
fresh from the organic garden. Daily yoga and meditation take place
in the vast thatched shala; group blessings will remind you
you're part of a bigger movement. This is an oasis of peace and
tranquility where you can totally relax, safe in the knowledge that
you're in expert hands.
