  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    Outstanding balance is to be paid directly to Temple Tree in local currency.

  • Cancellation Fees:
    For all cancellations, the initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. In addition, for any cancellations less than 7 days, prior to arrival: additional charge of 1 night will be made to your credit card by Temple Tree (or one night less deposit if only staying one night); less than 24 hours, prior to arrival: the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. During the peak period (15 Dec – 8 Jan) the following policy applies: less than 20 days, prior to arrival: 50% of the total accommodation booked will be charged; less than 13 days, prior to arrival: 75% of the total accommodation booked will be charged. For 7 days or less or for no show, 100% of the total accommodation booked will be charged. In the event of premature departure at all times, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged. We recommend that you take out insurance against cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances.

A collection of classic Chinese, Malay, Indian and Eurasian houses from all over Malaysia, painstakingly reassembled, and divided into 14 [r:MY004:rooms and suites]. Owner Narelle is the brains behind neighbouring [h:MY001:Bon Ton Resort], and the execution of this living museum is spot-on. Each house maintains its own character and Narelle’s eye for interiors is evident in bold colour schemes, which effortlessly blend antique pieces with modern flourishes. It's a fascinating insight to traditional Malaysian living, with the bonus of excellent service.
There are 8 houses in total, plus the beautifully laid-out 90-year-old Straits Clubhouse with a games room/library, bar, private dining room and meeting place. The houses are arranged down a ‘main street’ where saplings sway in the breeze, leading to the resort's swimming pool. Hit the beach for sunbathing or watersports; hire a car to set your own island agenda. Or stay put - the houses are so delightful, you might not want to leave.
