The Five Hotel
Paris, France
A romantic townhouse hotel, with shimmering star-lit ceilings and stylish contemporary design, set on a quiet street in the historic Latin Quarter
Step into the intimate reception lounge of The Five Hotel and
you'll feel you have reached the end of your journey. In winter, a
fire flickers, drawing you to the comfy black-and-white couches,
while in summer this super-cool salon offers a refreshing relief
from the Paris heat. And the glaçage on the
gâteau is the warm welcome you receive.
Behind the discreet façade of this archetypal Parisian
building lie 24 rooms that have been designed to
stimulate the five senses, and remind you why the French have
earned their famously amorous reputation. The elegant modern
décor and innovative lighting combine to create sensual
spaces that offer rest, relaxation and romance. And for those
looking for superlative luxury, in a separate building across the
street sits the self-contained 'One by the Five'; a hedonistic
suite perfectly suited to the most starry-eyed of occasions.
Emerge from the hotel to stroll through the cinquième
arrondissement and discover delights on your doorstep, then
return to snuggle up in your romantic retreat.

Highs
- Spot-on service: Tanya, Karine and the team provide the perfect blend of professionalism and personality
- Cosy boudoirs: star-lit ceilings, sumptuous colours and your choice of essential oil scents create a decadently indulgent ambiance
- First-class location: this interesting arrondissement is centrally situated, but out of the usual tourist trap zone
Lows
- Apart from the suites, the rooms (at 8-15m²) are petite, to say the least, but have been lavishly decorated to create a serene sanctuary
- Outside space is limited, but you are only 10 minutes from the pretty Jardin des Plantes
- Most rooms have showers only; if you’re a big bath fan, you’ll need to book one of the suites
A cheap but chic place to stay close to the Jardin du Luxembourg...
