Booking Policies

  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    Outstanding balance is to be paid directly to The Frangipani Tree in local currency.

    The Frangipani Tree requires a faxed credit card authorisation and signature.
  • Cancellation Fees:
    The initial deposit is non-refundable. In addition, cancellations within 30 days of arrival result in a further 50% charge whilst cancellations within 14 days of arrival result in 100% charge of accommodation and services. During the high season (20th December to January 10th) cancellation within 60 days of arrival will incur a 50% charge and cancellation within 30 days of arrival will result in 100% charge. We will try to be flexible and if are able to rent the accommodation for the cancelled period, cancellation charges may be waived or a credit allowed for costs of a stay in future.

Not so here; at The Frangipani Tree you won't even find a TV in your room, and the desk is for writing postcards rather than plugging in your laptop. The magic of this hotel is simply its setting - the raging waves of the Indian Ocean crash just meters from the Hawksbill, Leatherback and Olive Ridley [r:SL072:suites] - named after the turtles who head back to this beach every year to lay their eggs. The keen young team urge you to switch off your phone, kick off your shoes and pick up a book to lounge by the pool. If you need more activity you can do some laps or play a game of tennis, but basically, it's all about downtime. Add to this casual but delicious dining, outdoor bathtubs and beautifully spare interiors courtesy of Bawa protegé Channa Daswatte, and it's no surprise that tuning in and dropping out is fashionable once again.
