The Kimberleys
When To Go
The Kimberleys have a tropical monsoon climate. The best times to visit are May-October when the temperatures are pleasant, and it almost never rains. Winter sees the biggest concentration of migratory birds along the coast.
Cyclones are common November-April especially around Broome, and in the summer, the territory is the hottest area in Australia - temperatures often reach 40ºC before the rain breaks, and when it does, you can expect a deluge of Biblical proportions and much local flooding.
