The One Hotel Angkor

Siem Reap, Cambodia

Location
The One Hotel is located in The Passage in Siem Reap's Old Market area. It's 8km from the airport and a 15-minute drive from the temples at Angkor Wat.

By Air
Siem Reap International Airport (8km). This airport has a limited number of flights arriving from nearby countries including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore. Domestic flights link the city with Phnom Penh and connecting flights abroad.
If you're flying in from abroad and can't fly straight to Siam Reap, aim for Phnomh Penh Airport then take the connecting flight mentioned above. Many airlines offer this route.

From the Airport
As a rule of thumb in Indochina you should book a transfer and arrange for your hotel to pick you up from the airport. Public transport is confined to only the very biggest cities and taxis are not always reliable. Luckily, this hotel offers free transfers.

By Boat
It's possible to take a ferryboat or speedboat from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap via Tonle Sap lake (4-6 hours), but choose your vessel with care. The crossing can be extremely rough, the boats overcrowded, and the lifebelts non-existent. Some of slower cruises (2-3 days) are much more civilised.

Detailed directions will be sent to you when you book through i-escape.com.

It’s a cool little place in the heart of the old town, with a designer lounge that opens onto a narrow passageway and a shaded roof terrace where you can loll about on a comfy daybed or slip into a hot tub and gaze up at the blue sky. It's the brainchild of American owner and former luxury hotel manager Martin Dishman, who lives here and offers excellent guidance to the temples and buzzy ents scene of Siem Reap. But this is a tale of two hotels, which are joined at the hip. Next door is owner Martin’s latest venture, [h:CA011:Hotel Be Angkor], which opened in 2009 with 3 gorgeous rooms, a spa on the first floor and the Linga wine- and tapas bar below. And shared between them is the McDermott Gallery, where you can admire colourful tableaux by local photographer John McDermott, and even hire him as a photographic guide to Angkor.
