The Villas of Byron

Byron Bay, New South Wales

Secluded, stylish and exceptionally well-equipped self-catering villas just a 5-minute walk from the centre of Byron Bay

In the increasingly popular seaside resort of Byron Bay, we found the privacy and quiet of The Villas of Byron a welcome relief. You choose from comfortable and contemporary 1 and 2-bedroom villas, each with their own outdoor heated pool, hot tub, daybed and eating area. The villas are totally self-contained so, although you have neighbours, there's no sense of shared community. Palms and blue-tiled walls screen you from the outside world, so you could walk about naked from room to deck to pool, and nobody would ever know.

The décor is modern with a touch of Balinese; clean lines and lots of space creates a feeling of calm. What's more, the affordable Buddha Gardens Day Spa is only a 2-minute stroll away, or you can order-in Swedish and deep-tissue massages. Byron Bay itself offers a lovely, laid-back mix of restaurants, beach life, yoga classes and shopping. Gather your friends or partner and book in for a luxurious long weekend.

Highs

  • Those who love to cook will rejoice, as the kitchens are very well equipped
  • Peaceful, private place in a busy location but within easy walking distance of Byron Bay beach
  • The villas are near to the iconic Arts Factory Complex, which offers restaurants, dance and yoga classes, an arthouse cinema and the Buddha Gardens Day Spa
  • Each villa has its own heated pool and hot tub

Lows

  • The villas are on a nondescript (but quiet) road with no view
  • The nearby Arts Factory Lodge (part of the Village) is a backpacker hideaway packed with teenagers on the road to self-exploration – who can get a little exuberant late at night
  • Children aged 2-12 are not accepted

The theme is Balinese luxury combined with the best of the west, including a private plunge pool and spa in each high-walled villa...
