Twinpalms Phuket
Phuket, Thailand
Press Reviews
Sunday Mirror, November 2012
"If you want to book an independent stay, this cool spa hotel is on
Surin beach, which is lined with fish restaurants and is one of
Phuket’s nicest. Some of the rooms lead straight into the
swimming pool, and there’s an acclaimed restaurant on
site."
Frommer's
"The brainchild of a Swedish entrepreneur, this gorgeous Thai
contemporary resort is not as flashy as its neighbors, but
nonetheless has sublime charm and a timeless, yet cutting-edge
style. A stunning Thai-inspired open-rafter lobby with glassy stone
floors makes way to a vast tropical Water Garden, the centerpiece
of the property. Guest have use of an excellent spa and highly
acclaimed restaurant, Oriental Spoon (sister to Kuppa in Bangkok),
as well as an extensive wine room, but the big attraction to
wannabe jetsetters must be the additional 21 residences (all with
private pools) that will open by early 2008. Less pricey are the
airy Lagoon rooms and suites, some of which have terraces that go
straight into the water. The room decor uses numerous Thai
references, such as sleek dark wood floors and local art and crafts
(including rugs made by the Mae Fah Luang crafts charity)."

"The 21 new residence suites at the Twin Palms hotel eschew the
cliff-top isolation and fawning service of Phuket's poshest resorts
in favor of a make-yourself-at-home brand of luxury. When you wake
in your airy triplex loft, you don't have to wait for your room
service espresso. Instead, you can brew one of the four blends
stocked in your private kitchen. Later, you can pull a bottle of
white from your private cellar (and perhaps a Cuban from your
humidor) and bring it up to your rooftop infinity pool. A residence
host is available 24/7, but the villas are so well equipped (two
flat-screen TVs, bedside controls for temperature, sound, and
light) that you could quite happily exist without ever needing to
make use of this resource.
The rest of the 76 rooms, located in two buildings flanking a
meandering, free-form pool, have fewer bells and whistles but a
similarly easygoing mentality: First-floor guests can step right
into the water. At the main pool, lounge chairs are positioned in
the water itself, like inviting little islands. The onsite Oriental
Spoon is the island's hottest brunch ticket. Reserve a month in
advance during high season."
Lonely Planet
"This seductive spa hotel offers a contemporary, youthful ambience,
stylish, minimalist décor and excellent service. A-grade
pampering without paying the earth, this is one of Phuket’s
best bets."
Time Out Bangkok & Beach Escapes
"Twinpalms earns plaudits for its immaculate modernism and
gardens."

“Just want to give extra credit again to the service at the resort. Top notch! So many fine little details that they took into consideration that made the entire experience such an enjoyable one. Like free upgrade to a suite because my original room had renovation going on right in front, surprise birthday cake on my birthday, etc. There's no lack of restaurants around the area if you feel bored of the food at the resort. A little away from the other busy beach areas, but that's what I like about Surin Beach. Even if you feel like going into crowds, Patong is just 15-20mins drive away. Highly recommended!”
ShihMing, Singapore (21.10.12)“Stunning hotel, set in a great location, with great service. I will only stay at the Twinpalms when travelling to Phuket.”
Joseph, Australia (07.10.12)“Exactly like advertised, Twinpalms really is exciting, very very stylish and contemporary. Tranquil beach life 1 minute away, with very good & authentic local cuisine. Will definitely return when visiting Phuket next time!”
