Booking Policies

  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    Additional deposit of 30% of total for Low Season stays is charged by Urune Hotela in local currency upon reservation; for High Season stays the entire balance is charged upon reservation.
    For Low Season stays the outstanding balance is to be paid directly to Urune Hotela at time of stay by credit card.

  • Cancellation Fees:
    In the event of all cancellations, the initial deposit is fully non-refundable. In addition, for Low Season stays, any cancellations made less than 2 days prior to arrival will forfeit the entire stay and the balance will be charged to your credit card by Urune Hotela. For High Season stays, any cancellations made less than 15 days prior to stay will forfeit an additional 30% of total (50% will be refunded to your credit card); any cancellations made less than 2 days prior to stay will forfeit the entire stay and no monies will be refunded.

The feel is deeply rural, yet you’re less than 20km from Bilbao. The silence is magnificent - and the only noise you are likely to encounter is birdsong, a distant tractor or cow bells clanking in neighbouring fields. The house, rescued from neglect in 2009, shines triumphantly. Beautiful interiors mix exposed stone and wooden ceilings with white leather sofas and cool design. As for the 8 [r:SP083:lovely bedrooms], they’re an absolute steal. This was a labour of love. You’d guess a fancy architect did all the work, but owner Alberto renovated with the help of his father and friends. He has left the building to speak for itself. There is very little adornment, but it works a treat. Simplicity and restraint are the hallmarks, along with a strong sense of peace. At the back a shaded terrace offers sanctuary from the heat, though there are loungers in the garden for those who seek the sun. As for the food, we ate the most delicious meal here, [i!#Eating!Basque food] cooked to perfection. Come to escape the world. Wonderful.
