Villa Sa Font Fresca
Deia, Mallorca
Two recently restored cottages in Deia (sleeping up to 4 and 6 people or 10 if taken together), 4 night minimum stay
Wander down one of Deia's cobbled lanes and you might stumble
across a small wooden gate that leads you to Sa Font Fresca. Here
you'll find two cottages converted from 14th century Mallorquin
houses set beside the village stream. It's a pretty setting amidst
vibrant pink bougainvillaea and lemon and persimmon trees. You're
right in the village, just yards away from some of the island's
best restaurants, perfectly placed to wander out at night or take
the 40 minute walk down to Deia's small shingle beach during the
day.
Recently converted, its English owners have retained the original
features whilst adding modern touches. So expect old wooden doors
and beams but contemporary Ikea-style furnishings, gleaming
bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens. There are two adjacent
cottages: one with two bedrooms, the other with three.
Each has its own kitchen and sitting room and their outside
terraces come with tables, chairs and barbeques, perfect for lunch
alfresco.

Highs
- located in Mallorca's most fashionable village on the spectacular north west coast
- a stone's throw from some fabulous restaurants and a good base for walking in the mountains
- simple stylish and well-equipped interiors
- pretty terrace for lazing and dining
- renting both cottages is great for two families / groups of friends who want to be together but keep their own space.
Lows
- the cottages can be booked together or separately; if another party is staying in the other cottage, you'll have less privacy on the terrace
- the road into the village passes nearby - this didn't bother us as the traffic noise was minimal
- no outside parking but spaces are available 50 metres down the lane and you will be given a permit for your car
- no swimming pool, as is the case with most rental properties in Deia
