White Villa
Camps Bay, Cape Town, South Africa
Stunning beach house fit for A-Listers with direct access to secluded Glen Beach and a short stroll to Camps Bay (sleeps 2-10)
Need a beautiful beach base, close to town, stylish and sublime?
Ten minutes' drive from downtown Cape Town and a short walk from
the buzzing bars and restaurants of Camps Bay will get you to Glen
Beach; a stretch of secluded sandy cove that feels like it all
belongs to you, save for the occasional surfer.
Walk inside this 5-bedroom villa to find a sleek white
beauty. Set on 3 floors with a plunge pool and a private pathway to
the sea, it's a stunning study in white. Antique wood-carved
entrance doors open to an airy open-plan living space. Picture
low-slung sofas, dangling sea shells, pale stone floors, Moroccan
lanterns, driftwood, and romantic muslin-draped beds. Even the
ostrich skin bar stools are white. So where's the colour? Just gaze
through the windows for all the turquoise hues of the ocean. The
look is straight from the pages of a glossy magazine. Its owner is
South African supermodel Tanya Fourie so it is no stranger to photo
shoots. Enjoy the scent of glamour and fresh flowers. Ideal for
honeymooners, families and groups of friends.

Highs
- Oozes simple beach style
- Spectacular location in Glen Beach, an exclusive enclave sandwiched between trendy Camps Bay and the famous Clifton beaches
- One of very few villas in Cape Town to have direct beach access (there's no road between the house and beach)
- Outstanding views of the white-sand beach and Atlantic - a great place to watch surfers and the setting sun
- Full breakfast prepared daily by the maids
- All mod cons - from kitchen gadgetry to entertainment systems and a state-of-the-art security system
- Going to sleep to the sound of the waves
Lows
- If you go with friends, you'll probably fight over who gets the stunning Luxury Suite - the other bedrooms are much smaller
- Occasionally the strong wind picks up as it can anywhere on the Cape - on our first day the sea was very stormy, but on our last it was flat as a pancake
- This is the Atlantic - you'll definitely need a wetsuit to keep warm if swimming in the sea
- No immediate off-street parking but there's a lock-up garage 500m away and it's easy enough to park on the road immediately above
The large living room has a grandstand view of the evening sky as its slowly changes colour over the ocean...
