Rooms

Sharing the grounds and pool are 3 villas, adjoined but completely autonomous. The largest, Astraea, has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and can hold up to eight – great for families or a group of friends. Althea sleeps six in 3 double bedrooms and Lethe, the smallest with one bedroom, is ideal for couples (with or without child).

The villas are split-level and furnished in a creative mixture of expensive European design – Italian Bonacina, Swedish Berga Form – and Ikea. The spacious living rooms have comfy sofas, flat-screen TVs, mini-sound systems and traditional stone-set fireplaces filled with candles. The Italian-designer kitchens are fully-equipped, right down to a set of lobster picks. You can eat inside or al fresco on your private veranda or roof terrace.

The bedrooms are bright and uncluttered, with oak wood floors, white walls dotted with original artwork and striking light fittings. Comfortable orthopaedic coconut-bark mattresses are on all beds. The master bedrooms in the 2 larger villas have ensuite bathrooms, and some have their own balconies. We stayed in Lethe, and slept very well - the only niggle being that one side of the bed platform is against the wall, so one of you has to clamber over the other to get out.

We loved the sparkling Murano mosiac-tiles in the luxurious bathrooms, along with the rain showers, cherry wood cabinets and delicious-smelling Korres toiletries. Bathrobes and slippers are also supplied.
