eSwatini: Why go

A tiny landlocked country the size of New Jersey, Swaziland - or eSwatini as it has been known since 2018 - is a green and mountainous region bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. Its people are friendly and easygoing, and it’s one of the only countries in Africa to have retained its monarchy; indeed, the kingdom's royal ceremonies and rituals are a big attraction. Add to this spectacular natural scenery, big wildlife parks and fascinating culture including polygamous tribes in traditional villages - and a real lack of crowds.

The country is divided into four distinct topographical regions. They are the Highveld Inkangala, the Peak Timbers, the Middleveld and the the Lowveld.
