Madhya Pradesh is criss-crossed with rail lines. Several “Shatabdi” trains (which we recommend for their first-class compartments) run daily from Delhi to Bhopal via Agra, Gwalior and Jhansi (for Orchha). The overnight train makes for a particularly memorable trip.
