Grace Mykonos

Mykonos, Greece

A seriously sexy hotel for the Mykonos party set seeking a glamorous pad just minutes out of town

This boutique beachside hotel (formerly Mykonos Grace), is aptly named, for it simply oozes style. Reopening after a complete facelift in May 2007, the crisp design lines have been overseen by Athenian architect, Nikos Travasaros. There's nothing showy or pretentious about the place; it's just effortlessly beautiful, cleverly designed and ... well, graceful.

The atmosphere is cool and calm, with touches of grey breaking up the chic white décor which faces you everywhere. The 31 rooms are cleverly laid out over five levels so that almost all of them look out onto Agios Stefanos beach and the island of Delos beyond. Sun worshippers will be in heaven, stretching out on one of the poolside futons, or chilling out down at the beach a minute’s stroll away. And it's perfectly placed for party-goers, just far enough out of Mykonos town to escape the noise of the throbbing nightlife, but near enough so that you can dip into the clubbing scene after a ten minute taxi ride.

Highs

  • Location location location!
  • Gadget central - we loved the slam proof loo seats
  • Half the price of many rival hotels on the island
  • Clever design details everywhere including the quirky upside down teacup light shades - pull the teaspoon for on!
  • The tranquil ambiance

Lows

  • The nearest beach is Agios Stefanos which isn’t one of the island’s best
  • Be prepared for a wait if you need a taxi back from town
  • The size of the rooms is a little on the small side

This chic little hotel is in a great setting...
