1. Digital Marketing Manager

i-escape is an award-winning, independent, Bristol-based business specialised in hotel marketing and reservations. A rare opportunity has come up to play a key role in our creative expansion. We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who not only loves what we stand for, but is full of ideas to help build awareness and loyalty, and has the drive to get it done within a small but growing team. You’ll have strong drive and creativity, excellent digital competency and commercial awareness, and will be happy getting stuck into a range of marketing activities, from social and email to analytics and brand partnerships.

This position is full time and based in our Bristol office, with some opportunity to work from home.

Your responsibilities:

  • Execute our marketing strategy - and adapting it as necessary moving forward
  • Help grow the business through generating traffic to site, acquisition of new sign-ups and incremental revenue
  • Manage email marketing, social media, e-commerce personalisation and digital advertising (Google, FB, social)
  • Plan and control annual marketing plan and budget (c. £150K)
  • Ownership of ongoing website projects (SEO optimisation, customer retention, lifecycle emails)
  • Initiate, present and implement own projects to develop effective business strategy
  • Set and hit targets for CPL/CPA spending
  • Work on strategic promotions and brand partnership activities, as well as maintaining press and influencer relationships
  • Develop a deep understanding of loyal and potential customers

    Your skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior B2C digital marketing role, preferably in travel or lifestyle sectors
  • A proven ability to implement marketing strategies, integrated campaign planning, management and evaluation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • The discipline and drive to meet tight deadlines, and to work on projects alone or with a team
  • The confidence to liaise with directors, web developers and the sales team to bring projects to fruition
  • A positive attitude, with plenty of initiative and a willingness to find creative solutions to problems
  • An eye for design is a bonus
  • A real passion for travel, especially boutique accommodation and hidden gems
  • Educated to degree level, and / or CIM diploma (or equivalent)

    2. Full Stack LAMP Developer

    i-escape is an award-winning, independent, Bristol-based business specialised in hotel marketing and reservations. This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and ambitious full stack developer, preferably with some' LAMP experience, to join a friendly team of dynamic, like-minded professionals. There will be scope to work on new APIs and 3rd party integrations, the implementation of latest payment systems, ongoing UX improvements, and to make major contributions to the phased rebuild of our proprietary hotel reservation system.

    You will have the following skills and experience:

    • Good knowledge of Laravel and Object Oriented PHP
    • Experience of AngularJS or VueJs
    • Strong HTML5 and SQL skills
    • A rigorous analytical approach to problems
    • A bright and enquiring mind

    • 1+ year's experience in LAMP stack development
    • Experience in refactoring legacy systems
    • Familiarity with SASS
    • Experience of managing websites in a Linux hosted environment
    • Knowledge of unit testing
    Other technologies that we use: Webpack, Gulp, Node & NPM, MariaDB, MySQL, PHPunit

    You will report to the Technical Lead. From time to time, you will also be involved in steering groups alongside the company directors to assess the viability of new tech projects, and the best approaches to implementation, as well as the introduction of new technologies.
