1. Marketing Manager


A rare opportunity has come up to play a key role in the creative expansion of i-escape. We’re looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who not only loves what we stand for, but is full of ideas to help build awareness and loyalty, and has the drive to get it done within a small but growing team. You’ll have strong drive and creativity, excellent digital competency and commercial awareness, and will be happy getting stuck into a range of marketing activities, from social and email to analytics and brand partnerships.

This position is full time and based in our Bristol office, with flexible working arrangements.

Your responsibilities:

  • Executing our marketing strategy - and adapting it as necessary moving forward
  • Business growth through generating traffic to site, acquisition of new sign-ups and incremental revenue
  • Management of email marketing, social media channels and digital advertising (Google, FB, social)
  • Creating, planning and controlling annual marketing plan and budget (c. 150K)
  • Ownership of ongoing website projects (SEO optimisation, customer retention, data collection etc.)
  • Initiating, presenting and implementing own projects to develop effective business strategy
  • Planning and hitting targets for CPL/CPA spending
  • Working on strategic promotions and brand partnership activities, as well as maintaining press and influencer relationships

    Your skills and experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in online marketing and e-commerce
  • A proven ability to implement marketing strategies, integrated campaign planning, management and evaluation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • The discipline and drive to meet tight deadlines, and to work on projects alone or with a team
  • The confidence to liaise with directors, web developers and the sales team to bring projects to fruition
  • The steeliness to work to a carefully structured marketing budget
  • A positive attitude, with plenty of initiative and a willingness to find creative solutions to problems
  • A real passion for travel, especially boutique accommodation and hidden gems
  • An understanding of the i-escape brand and its clientele

    2. Hotel Rates & Distribution Executive


    We’re looking for a highly numerate, methodical and IT-literate person to work in a small but crucial back office team within our award-winning boutique OTA (online travel agency). You will be instrumental in updating and checking hotel prices, managing calendar feeds and connections, resolving any problems that arise, and maintaining strong relationships with our handpicked hotel partners.

    Your skills and experience:

  • At least 1 year's experience in an admin role involving some numerical or data processing e.g. hospitality back-office, book-keeping, inventory management
  • Excellent numeracy, with good GCSE Maths (or equivalent) as a minimum
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, including Excel and Google Sheets
  • An eye for detail and a passion for accuracy
  • A clear email- and phone- voice, to help chase missing information and resolve any discrepancies with hotel owners or managers
  • Self motivation and good organisation are essential
  • Team player - you will be working closely with our reservations and editorial departments
  • Fully fluent in English (most of our business is conducted in English); any other European languages are a bonus
  • An interest in travel and the tourism sector
  • Any experience with hotel reservations systems or channel manager software is a great asset

    3. Junior Full Stack LAMP Developer


    i-escape is an award-winning, independent, Bristol-based business specialised in hotel marketing and reservations. This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and ambitious full stack developer, preferably with some' LAMP experience, to join a friendly team of dynamic, like-minded professionals. There will be scope to work on new APIs and 3rd party integrations, the implementation of latest payment systems, ongoing UX improvements, and to make major contributions to the phased rebuild of our proprietary hotel reservation system.

    You will have the following skills and experience:

    Essential:
    • Good knowledge of Laravel and Object Oriented PHP
    • Experience of AngularJS or VueJs
    • Strong HTML5 and SQL skills
    • A rigorous analytical approach to problems
    • A bright and enquiring mind

    Preferable:
    • 1+ year's experience in LAMP stack development
    • Experience in refactoring legacy systems
    • Familiarity with SASS
    • Experience of managing websites in a Linux hosted environment
    • Knowledge of unit testing
    Other technologies that we use: Webpack, Gulp, Node & NPM, MariaDB, MySQL, PHPunit

    You will report to the Technical Lead. From time to time, you will also be involved in steering groups alongside the company directors to assess the viability of new tech projects, and the best approaches to implementation, as well as the introduction of new technologies.
