Booking Policies

  • Payment:
    Non-refundable guarantee deposit is charged in United Kingdom Pounds (GBP) by i-escape upon reservation.
    Additional deposit of 1 night (or the balance if the stay is for 1 night only) is charged by Hacienda Xcanatun in local currency 7 days prior to arrival. In peak season (16 December - 6 January) a charge equal to 3 nights must be received 21 days prior to arrival.
    Outstanding balance is to be paid directly to Hacienda Xcanatun at time of stay by credit card.
    Credit cards accepted by Hacienda Xcanatun: Mastercard, Visa, American Express. Hacienda Xcanatun may require a faxed credit card authorisation and signature. The hotel's rates are fixed in US dollars but they are legally obliged to charge all credit cards in Mexican pesos.
  • Cancellation Fees:
    For all cancellations, the initial 20% deposit is non-refundable. In addition, for any cancellations less than 14 days prior to arrival: the total balance is non-refundable. For cancellations in peak season less than 30 days prior to arrival: the total balance is non-refundable. In the event of premature departure, the full extent of the stay as originally booked and confirmed, will be charged.

With the help of the best local craftsmen, it took a gruelling 5 years to restore this abandoned 18th-century sisal hacienda well beyond its original grandeur. The result is a beautiful 18-[r:MX052:suite] hotel where traditional elegance is married with contemporary style and comfort. The former machine room is now home to an award-winning gourmet restaurant; the old chapel has become a salon for functions. Outside, acres of vibrant tropical gardens lead to manicured lawns and 2 freshwater swimming pools. Located a few miles north of Mérida, the hacienda is a great starting point for exploring Mexico's ancient Mayan sites. It's also a welcome retreat: the spa offers relaxing holistic treatments using indigenous herbs, flowers and honey; the only sounds are from birds and fountains.
