We are looking for someone who shares our passion for travel and who can help customers and administer bookings based in Bristol, UK. Key responsibilities are:

• monitoring and overseeing on-line bookings
• helping clients with travel plans
• teaching new properties how to use our booking system
• answering help enquiries – by email or phone
• updating hotel details

Key requirements are:

• excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• educated to degree level
• good telephone manner
• meticulous attention to detail
• very computer and web literate
• good typing skills
• head for figures
• preference for languages (Italian, French or Spanish)
• ability and discipline to work from home at times
• a friendly, easy-going manner to fit in with our small Bristol-based bookings team

We are looking for a bright, numerate and persuasive Hotel Rates Manager to help us increase bookings through our website by enhancing price competitivity, helping keep rates up-to-date, training hotels to use our extranet, and finding other ways to ensure that our booking service - which was voted "Best Online Booking Service" by The Guardian / Observer in 2011 - remains at the top of its game. Key requirements are:

• at least 2 years' experience in the hotel or accommodation industry, preferably in inventory management or agency liaison
• excellent logic and numeracy (Maths A-level or higher)
• good phone manner and communication skills, especially with non-native English speakers (any foreign languages are a plus)
• familiarity with online booking systems (as an administrator) would be a bonus
• experience in managing others and in creating internal systems which work
• meticulous attention to detail
• a methodical, intelligent, resourceful approach to problem solving
• a friendly, easy-going manner to fit in with our small Bristol-based bookings team

Salary: £25-30,000 p.a. depending on experience
