Kensington Place supports Uthando. Their mission statement says 'We are all about giving the love, creating hope and faith, hope for a better future, faith in humanity'. They work with different aspects of life in Cape Town, including education, nutrition, child education, domestic violence, HIV and AIDS and farm workers to name a few.
When to go?
Any time! High summer is from late September through to February, and March is delightful. April to September is referred to as the 'Green' season in the Cape - it sounds better than the rainy season - but days can be as hot as British summertime, without the fierce sunshine.
