Margutta 54
Rome, Italy
An impeccable gem offering space, tranquillity (a rarity in Rome) and chic minimalist style - set on divinely pretty Via Margutta
Via Margutta is Rome’s artiest street, an outrageously pretty
cobbled walkway with creeper-laden buildings. Historically the
artists’ quarter, Fellini lived here, Stravinsky and Puccini
composed here, and today it’s lined with upmarket
galleries.
Margutta 54 has 4 airy suites – once artists’
ateliers – leading off a large hidden-away courtyard
alongside auction houses and antique dealers. Each has a sense of
space seldom seen in Roman hotels. The interiors are modern and
sleek, offering a five-star level of comfort and pure Italian
pared-down chic; expect textiles and fittings of the finest
quality, and a huge, deep bathtub in the spacious bathrooms. This
is a peaceful haven where you can kick back after pounding
Rome’s cultural beat. The location is fantastic: it's close
to Rome’s exclusive shopping district, Tridente, to Piazza
del Popolo, to the Spanish Steps and Villa Borghese. Margutta 54 is
for those who want the luxury of top hotels, but the intimacy and
personal service of a discreet hideaway.
