Palacio Ca Sa Galesa
Palma, Mallorca
Exquisite mansion in Palma’s historic centre packed to the gills with fine antiques and paintings
Hidden away down a narrow side street, this 16th century palacio is
in a prime location next to Palma’s cathedral and waterfront.
Don’t be fooled by its inconspicuous exterior: behind the
medieval walls lies an outstanding boutique hotel filled with fine
antiques, paintings, sculptures and an enviable collection of
Spanish modern art. Great care has been taken to preserve the
period features for which it won an architectural award.
Here you can live like a king, relax in the elegant drawing room,
listen to classical music and enjoy a drink from the honesty bar,
or take afternoon tea in a beautiful replica of Monet’s
yellow kitchen at Giverny. From the rooftop terrace there are
spectacular views of Palma bay and the Cathedral, while down in the
depths of the hotel, concealed in the cellar, is a Roman-style
plunge pool.
With only 12 bedrooms, Palacio Ca Sa Galesa retains an intimate and
informal atmosphere. Ideal for a romantic escape or a special
occasion.

Lows
- Living the high life in a palace is not a cheap option
- While the bedrooms have been newly refurbished, they are not particularly large
