PETIT BYAHAUT - REVIEW
If you’ve ever dreamt of getting back to nature on a desert island, then Petit Byahaut is the perfect place. Hidden in a jungled valley on the Caribbean island of St Vincent and accessible only be sea, this 50-acre retreat is a destination for the escapist. Despite the price tag, don’t expect five star luxuries; this is more about escaping the modern world. No roads, phones or TVs, simply exotic birds, flowers, trees and a reef teeming with tropical fish and coral.
Petit Byahaut accepts no more than 14 guests at a time, each accommodated in quirky homemade structures: some are room size tents; others are made of wood; all are tucked away on hillsides of lush vegetation. Great care has been taken to preserve the environment: rainwater provides showers, electricity is solar powered and the offshore coral is healthier than ever.
Hike through the rainforest to hidden waterfalls and a mile wide volcano or scuba dive, snorkel, sail and sea kayak right on your doorstep. |
