Apartment La Lonja
Palma, Mallorca
Contemporary apartment well located in Palma's old town (sleeps 2-4 in 2 bedrooms)
Our first visit to Palma was an off-season sojourn... a few mild
November days where we explored the city sans crowds and felt like
real residents. It helped, of course, that we were staying in
Apartment La Lonja, a modern flat in the historical quarter. La
Lonja has been decorated with style: original features such as the
chequered tiles, large old wooden shutters and doors, have been
retained, while the interiors have been updated with
simple Scandinavian furnishings, framed black and white photos (the
owner is a photographer), smart light fittings and mod cons,
including a DVD that came in handy on the one evening when it did
chuck down with rain.
We were one minute walk from the nearest
restaurant/café/shop, 2 minutes walk from the Palma Marina
and the Paseo Maritimo (seafront road), 5 minutes from the La Seu,
Palma's grand Cathedral and 10 minutes from the beach. And not far
from considering a permanent move.
