Posada de las Flores
Loreto, Baja California
Beautiful rose pink hacienda-style hotel with a rooftop pool overlooking the sleepy fishing town of Loreto
Posada de las Flores is your reward for making the journey north
from La Paz, along the twisting mountain road which leads from
Ciudad Constitución - a road with no petrol stations for
over 100km! As you descend into Loreto, driving on fumes, comfort
yourself with the thought that the finest hotel in town lies ahead
and that a cocktail with your name on it awaits.
Lush pink, with pots of flowers, green palms, climbing
bougainvillea, thick wooden doors and wrought-iron sofas, La Posada
de las Flores exudes elegance and serenity. We loved the lobby, lit
from above by the rooftop pool’s transparent lattice
floor… like checking into an aquarium. There’a a
superb roof terrace with swing seats and sun loungers - watch the
sun dip below the picturesque La Giganta mountains as the friendly
staff bring you a margarita. This Mexican marvel is a flawless
fusion of ice, salt and sweetness or, as the Italian owner might
put it, la dolce vita in a glass.
