Booking conditions

The i-escape.com website service is operated by Ram Tinto Associates (RTA) Ltd, a UK-registered company with contact details as shown below. Ram Tinto Associates Ltd is NOT a travel agent or tour operator but a facilitator, which has relationships with a number of suppliers, whose properties and special interest trips are featured on this website. Your booking, when it is made, will not be with RTA or i-escape.com but with the relevant accommodation/trip supplier.

Your reservation will become confirmed once you have sent on-line confirmation and provided your credit card details, and paid any required deposits and when the supplier acknowledges receipt of your deposit/guarantee. Any other amounts due from you other than any cancellation fees collected by i-escape.com (RTA) on behalf of any supplier, will be made direct to the supplier concerned. As such, we accept no liability in relation to any contract you enter into or for any services or arrangements you purchase or for the acts or omissions of any suppliers or other persons or parties connected with any arrangements.

In some cases i-escape.com (RTA) will charge an initial non-refundable deposit on behalf of the supplier. These deposits are charged in Sterling or, if provided in another currency, at the equivalent amount using the current daily market conversion rate to the sterling pound against the deposit amount. Where deposits are charged directly by suppliers their own conversion rates will apply.

While i-escape.com makes every effort to ensure that any taxes listed are correct, we accept no responsibility if taxes shown (whether included in quoted prices or excluded from quoted prices) are incorrect, or if they change between the times of enquiring and of confirming a booking, or between confirming and staying, or at any other time. Taxes will always be due at the rate prevalent at the moment of making the payment.

Prices displayed on rates pages may be converted for reference, but this is for guidance only and actual rates, where initial non-refundable deposits are charged on behalf of the supplier by RTA, are calculated on a daily basis using daily rates advised by XE.com. Where deposits are charged directly by suppliers their own conversion rates will apply. Rates used by RTA are believed to be accurate, but RTA does not warrant or guarantee such accuracy, and actual rates may vary.

All bookings for accommodation and trips are subject to the booking conditions of the relevant supplier. Customers are responsible for reading the supplier’s booking conditions of which you are advised at the time of booking.

Where service offerers provide holiday itineraries, these will be subject to the terms and conditions of these service offerers and are governed by the laws of the country in which they operate. For example where tours, trips, transfers, accommodation and other services are provided by Tailormade Tours or other service offerers (e.g. Destination Indus Kerala), these holidays are subject to their own terms and conditions and the laws of the country in which they operate (e.g. India).

If you need to cancel or amend a confirmed booking, cancellation/amendment charges may be payable to the supplier. The amount of such charges will depend on the individual supplier's cancellation policy and usually varies according to the period of notice given.

You are strongly recommended to take out personal travel insurance, at the time of booking, for all members of your party. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance you purchase is adequate and appropriate for your particular needs.

Nothing on this website constitutes an offer on our part or on the part of the suppliers. The matters detailed constitute an invitation to you to make an offer on the stated terms to purchase arrangements featured. Our suppliers may accept or decline any such offer. All arrangements featured or referred to are at all times prior to specific confirmation subject to availability and no warranties, promises or representations are given as to availability.

Parents are responsible for ensuring children are supervised, and should be careful not to book any excursion or activity that could prevent a risk to their children

Please note that overseas hotels and or service offerers may not have facilities for the disabled that are of an equivalent standard to those found in the UK. Anyone suffering a disability should confirm with the hotel or service offerer the suitability of the hotel prior to making a booking

All maps on the i-escape.com website are intended as a guide to location, not an exact pinpoint, and no guarantee is made that the positioning is accurate

All credit card information provided by you will be handled on a secure server using 128-bit SSL technology. The secure server is separate to the server that runs this website and is maintained by Secure Hosting Limited. Your connection to the secure server is indicated on most browsers by a closed padlock. Secure Hosting Limited will hold all such information and only release it to i-escape.com (RTA) for any of the purposes set out below:

1.The use of this information by i-escape.com (RTA) in connection with the provision of i-escape.com’s services to you as stated in these terms and conditions.

2.The release by i-escape.com (RTA) of this information to each hotel/service provider at the stage of the on-line confirmation by you of booking.

3.The notification to you by e-mail of marketing information including possible opportunities PROVIDED THAT you have not expressed a wish (by ticking the opt out box) not to be so provided with such information.

4.The notification to you by other means (e.g. direct mail) of similar marketing information (including marketing with Third Party Partners) PROVIDED THAT you have expressed a wish (by ticking the opt in box) to be so provided with such information.

Best Rate Guarantee

We guarantee that you will not get a better price for an identical product, booked at the same time, by contacting the hotel / owner / provider directly. In the unlikely event that you do, please let us know by emailing us written evidence of the lower rate and, provided it satisfies our criteria (below), we will match it.

Criteria

• Comparisons must be like for like i.e. for the same product (room type, occupancy, duration etc.) and including/excluding the same elements (tax, service, any credit card charges etc.). Please note that some systems add these charges at the very final stage of the booking process.
• The "undercutting" quote must be made within 12 hours of the i-escape quote, and be held on option for at least 12 hours.
• Any hotels using dynamic pricing models (where prices fluctuate in real time according to the number of rooms already booked or provisionally booked) are excluded from this best rate guarantee – as their prices will inevitably vary by the minute or hour, both upwards and downwards. You can usually identify these hotels by the wording "From…" against each room type on their i-escape Rates page.
• The final decision as to whether a quote qualifies for the "best rate guarantee" will be made by i-escape.com, at its sole discretion
• Differences of less than £5 (5 GBP) will not be considered
• Auction sites and sites offering unnamed accommodation will not be considered
• Rates which include corporate discounts, reward programmes, coupons or group rates will not be considered

Exclusion of Liability

Whilst i-escape.com (RTA) makes every effort to ensure the accuracy of the information published on i-escape.com, we cannot be held responsible for any errors, omissions or changes that may have occurred. All recommendations, opinions expressed and prices regarding properties and/or destinations displayed on i-escape.com are provided for guidance only. Personal descriptions have been written in good faith and are subjective. Services and facilities can be withdrawn at short notice and i-escape does not accept any liability for the descriptions given. All views expressed are our own and individual opinions may differ.

We do not accept responsibility for your direct dealings with the ultimate supplier of the accommodation/trips, once the introduction has been made. All accommodation/trip suppliers featured on i-escape.com are themselves responsible for providing you with the final quote and booking conditions for your reservation.

i-escape.com (RTA) does not accept responsibility of the accommodation or trips featured on the site. If during the course of the holiday you have any reason for complaint or dissatisfaction you should contact the hotel/villa manager or trip supplier in order that remedial action may be taken.

It is the travellers own responsibility to obtain valid visas (if necessary) and comply with all local health and custom requirements applicable to the place visited.

i-escape.com (RTA) is an agent of each of its suppliers to the extent that we may charge a non-refundable deposit or recover cancellation charges on behalf of a supplier. Otherwise, i-escape.com (RTA) is an independent contractor and nothing on this website shall be construed to imply that there is any relationship between it and any of the suppliers whose accommodation or products are contained or referred to in this website. We do not accept liability for any loss or damage or other sum or claim of any nature whatsoever (direct, indirect, consequential or other) which arises, directly or indirectly, in connection with this website including, for the avoidance of doubt and not by way of limitation, any use of any information or material contained in this website or any inability to access or use this website.
