Wye Valley Hideaways offers a tranquil retreat for families or friends of four to five. Just a short drive from the charming literary town of Hay-on-Wye, this cluster of luxury two-bedroom lodges sits on 7 acres of lush meadows and woodland within a Dark Skies Reserve. Owned by Lorna and Ryan, whose eco-retreat in Tobago shares a similar ethos, the lodges are crafted from locally sourced red cedar so that they blend seamlessly with the landscape. Each feels wonderfully private and offers stunning views of rolling meadows from the glass-walled decks, complete with private hot tubs. And there are lots of thoughtful touches too, like kids’ dens, forest swings, and binoculars, alongside amenities like outdoor fire pits, a curated selection of books and games, and optional hampers from the local Hay Deli.

- The stay can be between Sunday – Thursday, 22 March – 15 December 2024, excluding Bank Holiday weekends, Easter (30 March – 13 April), May half term (25 May – 1 June), July & August, subject to availability.
- The accommodation is a two-bedroom (1 super-kingsize bedroom and 1 super-kingsize or twin bedroom), self-catered lodge, allocated at the time of booking.
- Additional nights may be added by arrangement at the cost of the prize winner.
- A stay during the excluded dates or on a weekend may be possible by arrangement at a supplementary cost to the prize winner.
- The booking must be made within 6 months of being notified of winning. Dates cannot be changed after this time.
- The winner will be selected at random and contacted shortly after 2 April 2024. We will contact the winner from either an @i-escape.com email address or the accounts @iescapehotels on Instagram or @iescape.com on Facebook. If the winner does not acknowledge receipt within 2 weeks, the prize will be offered to another winner. i-escape will not be held responsible for non-delivery of emails or messages on social media.
