Hugging the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Oman (officially the Sultanate of Oman) has an extraordinarily rich heritage tied to the maritime history of the Persian Gulf. Far less brash than its UAE neighbour, Oman is a land steeped in incredible natural wonders (stunning beaches, spectacular wadis, a surprising amount of green plantations), exceptionally friendly people, mouthwatering cuisine, amazing coffee, and the truly beautiful Muscat - probably the most photogenic city in the Arab world.
