Travel Guide to South NSW Coast

Best things to do and see in South NSW Coast

South NSW Coast: Why go

Head south from Sydney and you’ll find mile upon mile of unspoilt natural beauty along the south NSW coast. It's an exhilarating mix of rainforests, bush, surf beaches and outback deserts, with no fewer than 40 nature reserves protecting the wildlife and offering walking trails for all abilities. Welcoming market towns and seemingly untouched beaches will make you feel a world away from the city you leave behind.

Jervis Bay Marine Park, which covers 100km of coast, is a big draw for whale watchers. Humpbacks migrate north up the coast in May/June and south in October/November; Southern Right whales, False Killer Whales, Orcas and Minke whales can also be found in these beautiful waters, as well as dolphins and fairy penguins.
